LIPSI
Lipsi are the eastern Aegean islands with about 700 inhabitants. Lipsos, the main island lies between Patmos and Leros and slightly to the east, in northern Dodecanese. The surface of the main island Lipsos is 15.8 square kilometers with 35km coastline. Because the island is small, it is easy for anyone to go around on foot. On the island there is taxi service and a bus.
It is a quiet island that is still out of mass tourism. That is why it is an ideal place for someone who wants to spend a relaxing vacation and enjoy the sun, sea and the companionship of the hospitable inhabitants of the island. The only settlement on the island located in the middle of the island. Behind the harbor lies the town of Lipsi with white houses and blue shutters. In the center of the village is dominated by the magnificent church of St. John the Theologian with its blue dome and two bell towers. There is also located the building with the archaeological collection of Lipsi, that is worth visiting.
